About The Role

Estate Security Officer - Kings Hill West Malling 

We are seeking a professional and reliable Estate Security Officer to safeguard  , people, and assets of one of our prestigious Clients at The Kings Hill Estate in West Malling Kent. The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA Licence and a clean UK driving licence, with the Shift work including weekends and public holidays.

You will play a key role in maintaining the security and integrity of the estate, ensuring all buildings are secured, alarms are responded to promptly, and any suspicious activity is handled professionally. This role forms a combination of foot and driving patrols across the estate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine patrols of estate grounds and buildings (internal & external).
  • Lock and unlock designated buildings and secure perimeters as per schedule.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms and emergency callouts.
  • Carry out thorough incident reporting and daily security logs.
  • Monitor alarm systems, reporting faults and unusual activity.
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorised access or antisocial behaviour.
  • Assist in emergency evacuations, fire drills, or lockdown procedures.
  • Ensure all visitors, contractors, and deliveries are recorded and escorted where required.
  • Carry out vehicle and access control duties on-site.
  • Liaise with emergency services as required.
  • Support the estate management team with health & safety checks, including hazard reporting.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Clean, full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience in a similar security or estate officer role
  • Good knowledge of alarm systems, and incident procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic IT literacy (for reporting and logging systems)
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively
  • Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail
  • Experience with radio communication systems 

Desirable:

  • CCTV License
  • Knowledge of estates or facilities management
  • Basic understanding of GDPR and data protection in security settings
