About The Role

Vacancy: Warehouse Cleaning Operative

Location: Runcorn, WA7 3FA

Pay: £16.05

Shift and Hours: 38.5h

Week 1: Mon & Tue 06:30 - 18:30. Wed & Thu Days Off. Fri, Sat & Sun 18:30 - 06:30.
Week 2: Mon & Tue Days Off. Wed & Thu 06:30 - 18:30. Fri, Sat & Sun Days Off.
Week 3: Mon & Tue 18:30 - 06:30. Wed & Thu Days Off. Fri, Sat & Sun 06:30 - 18:30
Week 4: Mon & Tue Days Off. Wed & Thu 18:30 - 06:30. Fri, Sat & Sun Days Off.

 Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the hygiene standards which are required within the client site, through plant and environmental cleaning.
  • Carry out all cleaning tasks as detailed by the cleaning work schedule, to agreed standard, as directed by the Hygiene Supervisor /Hygiene Site Manager.
  • Conduct all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and personal hygiene.
  • Ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
  • Ensure uniform is kept clean and tidy and is always worn whilst at work.
  •  Use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our customer and your colleagues.
  • Attend training as required by your supervisor.
  • Ensure that all machinery is Isolated / locked off prior to cleaning, as trained.
  • Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately to your supervisor.
  • Report any accidents and ‘near misses’ to your supervisor.
  • To complete ADR controlled documents to evidence completion of work.
  • Removal of waste to compactor area.
  • Correct use “as trained” of hazardous chemicals – acids / alkalis.
  • Floor cleaning using ride on scrubber dryer.
  • Restocking of consumables.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • A good understanding of English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in similar role preferred however full training will be provided.
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working alone and in a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload.
