Kings Place is partly a public and cultural building and partly an office building. It consists of a public ground floor area on the waterfront, two lower levels devoted to the arts, and seven floors of offices above. This rich combination works in many different ways for London arts audiences, the local community and office workers .Firstly, Kings Place is an outstanding music and visual arts venue, with a range of imaginative and beautifully designed facilities which are ideal for performance, exhibition and education. The music, arts and restaurant areas are arranged around generous public spaces which form a central hub to the building. Anyone can come into the building and enjoy it. The arts facilities include free access to a range of art galleries and unusually affordable tickets to concerts and other events
Key Responsibilities
- To provide and deliver a first class customer service to all visitors and tenants at Kings Place whilst ensuring that the building is safe and secure.
- Provide an enhanced Customer Service to all visitors and occupiers.
- To be able to confidently direct and assist visitors upon arrival
- Have a good understanding of Kings Place events and performances held in the Event areas and Concert Halls
- Have a good understanding and knowledge of exhibitions being held in both the Art and Sculpture Galleries
- Oversee ingress and egress of the speed lanes, ensuring authorised access only
- To ensure deliveries are not accepted at the reception and redirected around to the Loading Bay
- To be vigilant and observant of visitors to the Atrium by ensuring no baggage is left unattended
- Ensure that no photography/filming within the atrium is being taken without authorisation
- To ensure appropriate signage is displayed correctly and reception area is tidy
- To ensure applicable signage is placed by the main entrance if it is raining and umbrella stand is made available
- To book visitors in and print off passes whilst announcing the visitor to the applicable occupier •
- To book in all Kings Place Personnel upon arrival to site •
- To answer telephones and assist with general enquiries (between 1800 to 0800 and weekends). •
- To ensure any complaints in the first instance are referred to the appropriate department or if concerning the landlord areas this then must be directed to the Supervisor or the Site Manager.
- To ensure that all systems are logged off before leaving
Personal Criteria
- Efficient and effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills both written and oral
- Must be able to demonstrate a professional and proactive approach towards Security
- Excellent time management & task prioritisation skills. •
- Must have experience in working within a team as well as on your own. •
- Must have experience within a Customer Service environment (Essential) •
- Must have previous experience of working within a Security environment (Desirable) •
- Attention to detail and proactive. • Excellent time management. •
- Ability to operate in a pressurised environment. •
- IT literate including knowledge of Microsoft Packages (Essential) •
- A working knowledge or an interest in Music and Arts would be desirable •
- Must have experience of working within a control room environment (Desirable) •
- Must have a CCTV License & First Aid at Work Certificate, if not will be willing to attend course to obtain as this will be required within the Control Room environment
