About The Role

Purpose:

To carry out cleaning and portering duties and supervise the team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The position is a working supervisor role.
  • The working supervisor will work with the team and supervise the team
  • The tasks are cleaning and portering tasks
  • To ensure that tasks on the “Daily Task Schedule” are completed in a timely manner.
  • To respond to radio calls and action all such requests.
  • To liaise and work with the day supervisor to deliver the cleaning and portering services
  • To take an audit of the portering assets every Friday to be recorded in portering assets register.
  • To provide handover reports at the end of every shift for Management
  • To prepare handover notes for the evening supervisor and hand over to the evening supervisor before leaving site
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the training received
  • To attend additional training courses when required including in house toolbox talks
  • To manage and maintain portering equipment to high standards.
  • To manage and maintain cleaning equipment and materials to high standards.
  • To assist with the training and induction of new cleaning and portering operatives as may be directed by senior management.
  • To endorse new Company initiatives and ensure they are implemented on site.
  • To provide feedback to the Cleaning Team in relation to their performance and service levels.
  • To ensure the smooth delivery of exceptional portering and cleaning services.
  • Comply with Health & Safety Legislation
  • Comply with Company and Client policies and procedures
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/key clients/Stakeholders.
  • To report any building faults to the Estates team for rectification.
  • To escalate incidents or areas of concern to line manager.
  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and as required by the nature of the role.
