About The Role

Title: Waste Operative With Forklift Licence

 

Location: Milton Keynes, MK9 3ES

 

Hours of Work: 37.33

 

Rate of pay: £12.48

 

Smooth day-to-day delivery of waste management services at centre:mk.

Main duties and Responsibilities

  • To develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with all levels of client’s representatives, promoting the Company and development of services.
  • To promote recycling across the scheme and engagement with retailers 
  • Deal with complaints efficiently & in a professional manner.
  • Encourages safe working practices at all times & has a good understanding of all duties undertaken.
  • Implement & Management of Company’s Health & Safety policy.
  • Following of instructions from your Line Manager to provide flexibility required to maintain and meet the service requirements in an ever changing / evolving environment.
  • Maintain regular contact with the supervisor.
  • Attending regular training sessions both on and off site if required.
  • Adherence to the company’s policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with the relevant manuals.
  • Adherence to all Clients policies & procedures.
  • A flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Completion & submission of all documentation in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Carry out any other duties in consultation with the Supervisor which may be required to meet the changing needs of the business.

Operational Requirement

  • Ensuring all baler machinery and forklifts are safe to use by using  checklist and reporting any defects found to a suitable Amcor line manager.
  • Empty waste bins, towable eurocarts, small skips and 3 metre rolls to ensure each machine and the walkways are free of waste.
  • Remove l empty pallets, waste cardboard, and waste material ensuring the service road fee of waste.
  • Ensure the service road floor is free from material debris in accordance to the company Health and Safety regulations.
  • Load empty pallets , baled cardboard collection trailers.
  •  Monitor the error lights on all balers and compactors, emptying manual balers when required, reporting to line manager any issues.
  • Communication with production shift team leaders to ensure resources are appropriately used and directed according to the workload.
  • Communicate with shift team leader or supervisor any issues that require resolving.
  • Any other general task concerning waste, or recycling that centre:mk requires.
