About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the correct H&S, procurement and administration procedures are followed on ever job
  • Promote and lead a proactive and positive safety culture, always adhering to safe working practice
  • Ensure assigned trades work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements
  • Actively take part in risk assessments, Method Statements, ECPs, SPAs and all related Health and Safety issues
  • Maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment on various asset types across our Client’s Sites in challenging conditions
  • Be expected to produce high quality work working with your Co-Workers and Operations staff
  • Be able to swiftly and comprehensively fault-find, rectify problems on mechanical equipment including Mechanical seals on pumps and valves. and associated pipe work, Exhaust Fans, Motor bearings
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems generally
  • Identify problematic plant and the subsequent faults and to take part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order
  • Provide knowledge, information and provide on-site support for our Client, Operational team and partners
  • Day to day liaison with Mechanical /operational staff. Reporting to Mechanical Line Management
  • Engaging in cross skilling duties where required

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Mechanical fitter
  • CBM Experience
  • Laser Alignment Experience
  • Maintenance Software EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) Maximo or equivalent
  • Experience on installing Mechanical seals, Pump bearings, Motor bearings and all general Mechanical Equipment
  • An excellent understanding of planning and scheduling of work processes
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, understand and work from technical drawings
  • You will be expected to be able to work well and safely as part of a team
  • Ability to gather, understands, analyse, and interpret information and concepts. Verbal and numerical, about people or situations quickly
  • 5+ years practical hands on experience in a relevant industrial setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to actively lead and/or participate in a fact-based, cross-functional teamwork environment
  • An ability to work independently as well as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with experience in demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Embrace cultural and safety initiatives and programs within Engineering and work collaboratively within the Plant Engineering team
  • Capable of creating a good working relationship with people from all levels across the organization, working with honesty and integrity
