Location: Edinburgh
Shift Pattern - Monday- Friday 7am to 4pm
Pay Rate: £12.42 per hour
You will have Supervisor experience of working with security systems including, excellent customer service skills and be expected to show initiative and the ability to respond effectively to any issues or emergency situations which may arise.
Role overview
To supervise a professional security officer team, which carry out daily tasks as specified to create a safe and secure working environment for all visitors and staff, whilst always ensuring good customer service is provided whilst doing this.
Responsibilities:
- Expected to comply with and demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality throughout the course of their employment.
- Leading and positively managing staff through coaching, training, and on-going communications.
- Ensuring workload is effectively delegated with focus on ensuring site emergencies are effectively resourced, well planned and executed.
- Ensuring attendance, appearance, aptitude, and attitude of the Security Team meet the required standard, ensuring non-compliances are identified and addressed.
- Participating in the development of staff and support succession planning.
- Maintaining a secure site by applying site specific security rules, processes, and standards.
- Correctly recording, reporting, and documenting high quality reports (verbal and/or written).
- Achieving and encouraging high standard of customer care and providing an effective shift presence.
- Managing the planned and unplanned absence of your Security team. Carrying out welfare/return to work meetings, shift absence management and appropriate investigations where necessary.
- Provide guidance and direction to security team as required.
- Maintaining site Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Attend client meetings as requested.

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualities and experience:
- Security Supervisor Experience
- SIA licence
- Background in Security – Customer environment is desirable
- Understanding of excellent customer service in day to day operation
- Exceptional communication skills
- A good knowledge of best practice security standards and procedures
- Strong work ethics, honesty and integrity
- Ability to work as part of a team.
