About The Role

Shift: Working 50 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Nights may be required) 
Location: Kings Cross (3 Days a week)2 Days Fluidity to work from different site locations
 
You are expected to support the Key Account Director in overseeing the security operations. Ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and assets. 
 
To develop and implement robust security policies and procedures. Supervise security personnel and manage daily operations that align to the MYO, operational values. Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Coordinate with external vendors and emergency services as needed. To Maintain and manage security equipment and technology. 
 
Duties:
  • Develop and implement security strategies to enhance safety and operational efficiency across all sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure proactive security planning.
  • Drive innovation by integrating technology and best practices into security operations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery. 
  • Recruit, train, and supervise security staff.
  • Ensure staff adherence to security protocols and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Uphold and promote the Company's Core Values.
  • Serve as the primary management point of contact for all security-related matters, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the functionality and appropriateness of operating systems, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Assume command during emergency situations, providing clear instructions to control room staff and adhering to established emergency procedures.
  • Manage the probationary period of new employees.
  • Conduct investigations using relevant documentation, seeking guidance from security HR as needed to resolve uncertainties.
    • Prepare Welfare Reports and KPI for assignment staff.
    • Assist in ensuring accurate site pay system updates and correct scheduling of site employees on Timegate for pay periods.
    • Manage staff holiday allowances in alignment with operational assignment requirements.
    • Monitor security contract budgets and control costs to ensure financial efficiency.
    • Assess and report financial performance against agreed-upon KPIs.
    • Work with clients to optimize contract value and service enhancements.
    • Promote continuous professional development through structured learning initiatives
    • Deliver and facilitate training programs to improve staff capability and professionalism.
    • Ensure all security personnel are up to date with mandatory certifications and site-specific requirements.
    • Compile and maintain a health and safety reporting on site.

      Person Specification

      • Strong communication and influencing skills.
      • Excellent understanding of visitor management systems.
      • Excellent written and verbal communications
      •  Compile monthly report on Staffing/Attendance, Performance, Training, Incidents, Contractor Work,  and present to the Estate Security Manager. 
      • Complete financial reports.
      • Attend KPI meetings with the client and the Account.
      • Provide innovative ideas within contract reports.
      • Communicate grievances, absences, and sickness in a timely manner through the appropriate channels.
      • Manage and maintain a compliments and complaints report.
      • Communicate health and safety matters promptly through the correct channels.
      • Complete additional reports for the Estate Security Manager, client as requested.
    • Hospitality and Security experience within the Premium Corporate/ Hospitality Sector.
      • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, often in challenging situations, as well as being a collaborative team player who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve the whole team effort.
      • Customer driven with a strong knowledge of customer service skills.
      • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and site-specific policies.
  • Develop and maintain security procedures, emergency response plans, and incident reporting protocols.
  • Implement business continuity planning and crisis management strategies.
  • Maintain and update the Risk Register and identify actions with the Key Account Director every month.
    • Oversee the investigation and resolution of security incidents across all sites.
    • Ensure timely escalation and response to security threats and emergencies.
    • Liaise with external agencies, emergency services, and key stakeholders as required.
  • Support initiatives that align with environmental sustainability in security operations.
  • Promote ethical business practices and community engagement.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the security team.
