Operations Manager

Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and operational excellence across the Life Sciences portfolio, ensuring high-quality service delivery, client satisfaction and compliance. Leads performance improvement, best practices, and strong client relationships across multiple sites. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:

• Contract Management: Oversee contract execution, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and budget management. Handle contract renewals and negotiations.
• Operational Oversight: Supervise delivery of soft services, develop operational plans, and monitor quality control procedures.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary client contact, build relationships, and report on contract performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop contract and subcontracted teams, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulations, prepare performance and financial reports, and manage audits and corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities, implement innovations, and drive service optimisation.

Key Requirements of the Operations Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or People management preferred or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Life Science industry experience
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Proficient in financial and contract management.
• GMP industry experience is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
