About The Role

Job Purpose:

  • To provide Ark Cody Park with an efficient and effective security service.
  • To ensure that the security of Ark Cody Park is not compromised and carry out prescribed procedures in the event of a security breach, fire, flood, accident or major incident.
  • To be welcoming and effectively supervise access to Ark Data Centres Cody Park.
  • To ensure all duties associated with security, including patrols, responding to incidents, reacting to alarms are carried out correctly.
  • To supervise deliveries and reporting any health and safety concerns.

Specific responsibilities:

DUTIES:

  • To check the daily visits, prioritise and oversee the hosting of deliveries and visits to site.
  • Ensure support to key areas during visits, aiding with smooth access and the issue of passes to visitors, new site access list personnel and deliveries.
  • Arrange for site familiarisation tours with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Management of large deliveries to operational buildings, liaise with the client to ensure a timely breakdown in support of agreed access protocols, maintain the delivery register and process the delivery notes as necessary.
  • Monitor the general cleanliness of operational loading bays ensuring rubbish and waste removal is managed through Ark Helpdesk.
  • Oversee the collection of all small parcel deliveries received at gatehouse.
  • To ensure all letters delivered to site are sifted and handed over to the appropriate Ark Representative.
  • To assist with lone worker checks in operational buildings in support of the CBRE Engineers if required.

General responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with site familiarisation
  • To respond immediately to any calls for assistance and take control of incidents if necessary.
  • To restrict and promote the correct protocols, the validation of visitors, key and pass issue
  • To be proficient in the use on site computer-based CCTV, access control and visitor management systems
  • To assist in the monitoring of security and fire systems as required and to investigate and respond to alarm activations
  • To assist in implementing emergency action plans and assist with fire evacuations
  • To build professional working relations with on-site contractors and staff
  • To identify hazards, potential hazards and issues relating to security/ health and safety and to take immediate remedial action if required before reporting as appropriate.
  • Locking and unlocking buildings
  • To accept and maintain approved status as a first aider and fire marshal
  • To use sound judgment and good interpersonal skills when dealing with members of the public and visitors to site
  • To support, promote and protect the business needs of the client
  • To participate in other duties commensurate to the role

While the details in this job description reflect at the present time the main areas of work required to be undertaken, the Site Security Supervisor must be prepared to carry out any instruction or duties which may involve work of a different nature on either a long or short-term basis, deemed reasonable and necessary to meet the needs of the Contract.
