About The Role

Title: Duty Security Manager

Location: London, W12 7FQ
Pay: £18.84
Shift: 4 on 4 off - days and nights
 

A fantastic Opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Duty Security Manager, who will work at our client’s prestigious site in London and manage the day-to-day operational requirements in line with customer and contractual expectations by leading and managing the site security team. This includes day to day responsibility of operating and managing Security Control Room, Fire Control Room, Post Room & Loading Bay, Front of House, Alarm Responses, etc. To be the initial management contact on operational security matters, ensuring a consistent quality service delivery and prompt responses to all incidents. As a DSM you will play an active role in incident response and take on the role of Incident Manager for any major incidents on site. Maintaining a safe and secure environment for visitors, staff and contractors is expected. Manage welfare, development, and performance of assigned and immediate Bidvest Noonan team members

Duties as a Duty Security Manager

  • Manage all aspects of the Security shift team member’s duties, ensuring they are compliant and conversant with agreed procedures, taking responsibility of the professional conduct, development/succession planning and performance management of the team.
  •  Ensure that site KPIs are managed as per Client and Bidvest Noonan expectations. 
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures set up by Bidvest Noonan and WCP are adhered across the contract. 
  • To act as key contact for all daily operational security matters across the contract. 
  • To ensure that security teams and fellow DSMs are all briefed on events or changes in procedures that have been implemented or are due to be introduced.
  • Investigate & escalate all complains, putting in place corrective measures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Be the key operator in SCR, managing CCTV operations and all the functions of the FCR.
  • Participate in the resolution of all site-based incidents. The DSM takes on the function as an Incident Manager during incidents. DSMs takes part in first aid response. Key point of contact during evacuation and invocation events.
  • Ensure the Health & Safety of the staff and visitors across the premises.
  • Ensure that Security Team carry out the set number of patrols, meeting frequency, accuracy, and reporting targets.
  •  To manage the deployment of Security Team by way of planning, co-ordination, allocation, and supervision via compiling of rosters to cover duties, holidays, and absence as well as daily rotation of the team, shifting recourses to where they are required.
  • To raise the profile of Security ensuring that customers are well informed at all times of procedures and processes.
  • To undertake any other tasks as identified by the Account Director, Head of Security, or Client being for the good and benefit of the service to the customer.
  • Any other duties deemed to be appropriate or necessary for the post. 
  • To be the Lead in Security Control and Fire Control rooms. 
  • To effectively monitor CCTV for the prevention of crime, loss, or theft of property and to ensure the Health & Safety of staff and visitors. 
  • Work in partnership with service partners and customer’s representatives, ensuring all aspects of site Security and Health & Safety requirement are effectively managed.
  • To manage project works (adhoc as well as scheduled) as it requested by the Client or the Head of Security. 
  • Assist the Head of Security in reviewing, devising, and compiling standard operating procedures and scenario tests.
  •  Escalate any issues that may impact business as usual for the client.
  • To monitor contractor’s adherence to safety thereby reducing the risk of incidents.
  • To investigate matters of concern reported by members of staff.
  • To contribute toward the maintenance of clean and welcoming environment for visitors.
  • Operating in line with latest Data Protection and CCTV COP as set out by British Standards.
Requirements as a Duty Security Manager
  • Security Management experience.
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability of departmental resources.
  • An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors’ needs.
  • An interest in and commitment to the work of Bidvest Noonan for its clients.
  • SIA DS and CCTV Licence
  • Must have experience in customer facing environments.
  • Evidence of HR knowledge and conducting confidential and sensitive investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be IT system literate and have the ability to adapt to new IT systems quickly.
Other duties and responsibilities 
  • Manage the daily rotation as per operational requirements and fill in where needed.
  • Manage and/or carry out security escorts to third party vendors/VIPs.
  • Manage and/or carry out daily tasks, not limited to confidential waste removal, pedestal/cabinet/room unlocks, patrol and access control during periods of heightened security.
  • Manage the car parking procedure.
  •  Assist Security Management/Client with reasonable adhoc tasks. These may include but not limited to access control, mail examination, escorting, vehicle searching and external duties.
  • To be aware of policy and procedures owned and changed from time to time by Bidvest Noonan.
  • To be aware of policy and procedures owned and changed from time to time by Client.
  • To positively participate in the Staff Welfare & Development Programme and manage it appropriately.
  • To ensure you and the team at all times greet visitors in welcoming and professional manner.
  • Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by management.
  • Investigations as and when required.
  • Meeting with the client and the building management.
  • Participate in the induction and training of all new staff members.
  • All other duties as per site assignment instructions.
