Title: Gatehouse Security Officer
Location: Meldreth, Royston
Pay: £12.21
Hours: 60 hours plus overtime
Duties as a Gatehouse Security Officer
- The on-coming officer will arrive in time for a handover from the off-going officer, after first reporting to the Security Control room to log-on for duty
- Patrol site using patrol system
- The controlled movement of all vehicles are to be monitored and permission to enter WCP Estate must be confirmed.
- Greet all guests in a welcoming manner, regardless of their attitude towards the security officer
- Any damage’s incurred to the WCP Gatehouse infrastructure and/or fabric or any accidents and incidents should be reported immediately to the Security Control Room and a log should be made in the DOB in Red Pen, with a corresponding statement from the officer as to how the events occurred.
Requirements as a Gatehouse Security Officer
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Be well organised and have methodical approach
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
- Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team
- Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the staff and stakeholders
- An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to staff and visitors’ needs
