Job Title: Assistant Site Manager Healthcare ROI Cork
Location: Mercy University Hospital
The objective of this role is to provide operational support and leadership to the Site Management Team to ensure that we our services are delivered to the highest standards and in accordance with all hospital and company policies and procedures.
Operational
- To ensure all cleaning standards, as defined in the agreement between the hospital and Bidvest Noonan Services, are met consistently
- To ensure compliance with HIQA Standards
- To participate in Environmental Management Audits with hospital Ward/Dept Managers
- To implement the QIP following hospital management audits.
- To complete monthly audits of areas as directed by Site Manager
- To ensure implementation of corrective action including re-audit
- To improve standards, which may have failed in previous audits
- To meet and liaise with the hospital ward/dept managers, either on a scheduled basis or as required
- To proactively solicit feedback from ept Managers in respect of hygiene and cleaning standards
Staffing
- To complete/assist in staff rosters, in accordance with the budget
- To proactively manage the performance of staff within the contract in accordance with company Policy and Procedures
- To ensure that staff records are maintained correctly.
- To Handle Investigations, Disciplinary, Grievances and conduct performance reviews with staff.
- To mentor and provide leadership and guidance to staff.
- To complete staff attendance records, ensuring hours claimed accurately reflect hours worked
- To support Site Trainer in the training of new staff in accordance with BIC’S standard as required and keep training records
- To complete competency assessments on an annual basis with all staff and records are kept
Financial
- To manage the budget on behalf of the company, i.e. staff, materials and equipment
- To put secure systems in place providing for appropriate storage of all equipment and materials
Quality, Health & Safety
- To take responsibility for Health and Safety Procedures on site on behalf of the company
- To ensure compliance with company ISO quality systems and procedures
- To carry out Risk Assessments in accordance with above procedures
- To allow the safety representatives carry out inspections as required within the working day
- To ensure that all safety data sheets are up to date and filed/displayed correctly
- To check that all equipment is appropriately labelled and PAT tested.
- To review requests for repairs and liaise with appropriate hospital personnel in respect of same
- To ensure hospital waste is handled in accordance with hospital infection control policy
General
- To carry out all other reasonable requests as they arise from time to time
- Provide support to the Site Manager, in the development of a good working relationship and excellent standards of service delivery to the client on site.
- To create and update SOP for cleaning tasks on site.
- To review and adapt site schedules to best meet the operational needs of the site.
- To represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- To attend training programmes and meetings as arranged from time to time
- To ensure all company information is kept secure and treated confidentially
- To observe all Hospital Policies & Procedures
- To liaise with Company Divisions, i.e. Industrial Division, as required in respect of special requests. To ensure additional work is carried out in a professional manner and in accordance with client expectations
