Cleaning Supervisor - Healthcare

About the Role
Bidvest Noonan are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our healthcare team. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within a hospital environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities of the Cleaning Supervisor:

• Ensure all cleaning standards outlined in the hospital–Bidvest Noonan agreement are consistently met.
• Maintain full compliance with HIQA standards and hospital protocols.
• Participate in Environmental Management Audits alongside Ward and Department Managers.
• Implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) following hospital management audits.
• Conduct monthly audits of designated areas as directed by the Site Manager.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly, including follow-up re-audits.
• Proactively seek feedback from hospital staff and stakeholders regarding hygiene and cleaning standards.
• Manage team performance in line with company policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cleaning staff.
• Accurately complete attendance records and verify hours worked.
• Deliver training to new team members in accordance with BICSc standards and maintain up-to-date training records.
• Support the Contract Manager in operational and administrative tasks.

Requirements of the Cleaning Supervisor:

• Proven experience as a Supervisor, ideally within a healthcare or similar regulated environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Valid work visa for the Republic of Ireland.
