About The Role

Operational Co‑ordinator – Cleaning & Security

Salary: £38,000–£46,000
Hours: 45 per week (primarily 08:00–17:00 with flexibility)

About the Role

This is a key role at the heart of our Cleaning & Security operations. Acting as the central coordination point between managers, teams, clients, and contractors, you will play a critical part in ensuring our services run smoothly, compliantly, and to exceptional standards.

This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who wants to build specialist knowledge in both cleaning and security. As part of your development, you will have the opportunity to work toward BICS and SIA accreditation — giving you deeper operational insight and the potential to progress into an operational management role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations for cleaning and security teams
  • Support managers with audits, compliance checks, business reviews, and client engagement
  • Manage subcontractors, ensuring accurate reporting and effective service delivery
  • Maintain all contract, compliance, and operational documentation
  • Provide administration for training, performance, HR processes, and payroll
  • Assist with recruitment, vetting, onboarding, and ongoing employee development
  • Manage equipment, consumables, materials, and project work requirements
  • Arrange quotes for planned and ad‑hoc works
  • Oversee Health & Safety processes, including audits and accident reporting
  • Administer permit‑to‑work systems and review RAMS
  • Support identity and access control systems
  • Coordinate travel bookings and liaise with Executive Protection partners
  • Maintain confidentiality and respond flexibly to operational needs

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience within cleaning and/or security operations
  • Strong administrative background
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to produce and analyse reports
  • Strong communication, organisation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent prioritisation skills
  • Practical problem‑solving approach and proactive mindset
  • Experience with contractor coordination and an understanding of KPIs
  • Strong customer service skills and professional approach

Desirable

  • SIA licence
  • BICS certification or equivalent
  • Qualifications in facilities management, business administration, or similar
