Technical Maintenance Manager

About the Role:

The Technical Mobile Maintenance Manager is a key role responsible for the efficient and effective management of a team of mobile maintenance technicians covering multiple sites within Ireland

This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance services, maximizing asset uptime, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of mobile maintenance technicians.  This includes recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and scheduling. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Service Delivery: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and emergency repairs across assigned sites.  Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within agreed SLAs, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Monitor team performance against KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate actions.  Analyze data to identify trends and optimize maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at each site.  Communicate effectively and provide regular updates on maintenance activities and performance.
• Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively, including tools, equipment, and vehicles.  Optimize routes and schedules to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
• Health & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.  Promote a strong safety culture within the team and ensure all technicians are adequately trained and equipped.
• Budget Management: Manage the budget for mobile maintenance activities within the assigned region.  Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team.  Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in maintenance.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare regular reports on team performance, maintenance activities, and budget performance.  Communicate effectively with management and other stakeholders.

• Proven experience in managing a mobile maintenance team, preferably covering multiple sites.
• Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full Irish driving license (essential).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Trade Qualified
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software an advantage.
• Experience in Technical Maintenance
• Knowledge of lean maintenance principles.
