Job Summary
This is a full-time position with a 4 on, 4 off rolling shift pattern, covering both days and nights. The Control Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations from the control room, ensuring effective incident management, compliance with security procedures, and the smooth coordination of security personnel at 8 Bishopsgate. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage security functions in a high-profile corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Control Room Operations – Oversee CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and alarm responses, ensuring security procedures are followed.
- Incident Management – Direct and coordinate responses to lift entrapments, fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents.
- Team Supervision – Manage and support control room operators and security officers, ensuring proper execution of patrols, visitor management, and contractor supervision. Conduct appraisals, return-to-work interviews, first-stage disciplinary meetings, and performance management to maintain high standards within the team.
- Roster Management – Ensure staff rosters are up to date, managing both the on-site roster and the TimeGate roster management system to maintain adequate coverage.
- Access & Asset Management – Ensure proper visitor and contractor access control procedures are followed and oversee key and asset audits.
- Compliance & Reporting – Maintain accurate logs of incidents and daily operations, ensuring compliance with site security protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication – Act as a key liaison between security teams, building management, and emergency services.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in control room supervision, preferably in a corporate or high-rise environment.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with experience in incident management.
- Proficiency in operating and overseeing CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Experience managing staff rosters, including working with TimeGate or similar roster management systems.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- SIA Licence (CCTV & Door Supervisor) required.
