About The Role

Monday to Friday 12-6pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Contract Cleaning Supervisor who will work at our client’s prestigious site.

Duties of a Contract Cleaning Supervisor

  • To develop and maintain a professional and proactive business relationship with all levels of client’s representatives, promoting the Company and development of services
  • Ensure that the cleaning specification for each contract is fully implemented and adhered to
  • Ensure that a consistently high cleaning standard is delivered
  • Undertake all customer queries and complaints are recorded and dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the client is kept fully informed of any action taken
  • Identify opportunities for new business, additions to daily cleaning services and non-contractual works
  • Carry out instructions from your Line Manager to provide flexibility to meet, maintain and exceed the service requirements in an ever changing / evolving environment
  • Review the running of contracts to identify ways in which productivity can be improved whilst maintaining cleaning standards under the guidance of the Account Manager
  • Maintain regular contact with the Account Manager or designate
  • Provide leadership, direction & support to the employees
  • Encourage safe working practices at all times & ensure that all staff have a good understanding of all duties undertaken
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately inducted, trained and developed. This responsibility includes identification of training needs, recommending training programmes, monitoring and evaluating the effect of the training
  • Ensure that all staff have the relevant PPE & that it is worn & used correctly
  • Ensure that all staff work the correct number of hours & adhere to the signing in & out procedure
  • Recruitment of the highest possible calibre of staff to fill vacancies to ensure a full compliment of staff

  • Ensure that all staff are correctly attired in accordance with company & client procedures
  • Plan and allocate the work to ensure effective use of staff and equipment
  • Allocation of staff to meet service requirements, resource management & additional work
  • Develop the skill base of the hygiene team to ensure the full potential of all direct reports, including individual development plans using the companies training department & external training consultants
  • Create and encourage a team ethos approach whilst promoting a harmonious working environment
  • Control and reduce labour turnover by effective recruitment and training
  • Ensure all employees are correctly trained in accordance with Bidvest Noonan Induction and Training Policy and recording of details
  • Plan staffing requirements for periodic work
  • Identify and take corrective action on variations to budget hours as guided by the Account Manager
  • Issue monthly contractual invoices and forward to the relevant clients ensuring that any variations to the contract have been documented on the invoice and the total has been adjusted before issuing
  • Process all client purchase order numbers for contractual and non-contractual work for budget holders, ensuring that they match invoices and forward to head office
  • Manage and document purchase order numbers for janitorial goods and confirm with Accounts Department for invoicing
  • Chase outstanding purchase order numbers with clients for goods or services undertaken
  • Monitor and review the performance of cleaning operatives / Supervisors to ensure high standards are delivered and maintained
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are fully implemented, adhered to and communicated
  • Reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses in line with Bidvest Noonan H & S Policy
  • Resolve any disciplinary and welfare issues in line with Company Policy
  • Communicate company information to cleaning operatives and Supervisors
  • Ensure payroll information is processed quickly and accurately each month
  • Process holiday requests for Contract Employees
  • Complete all contractual administration as appropriate and in a timely fashion
  • Ensure site supplies and equipment are ordered / delivered in a timely fashion and within budget
  • Ensure all site-based equipment is in good working order and / or arrange for repairs or replacements
  • Seek to develop business with existing clients and extend the range of services supplied
  • Maintain a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Adherence to all Clients policies & procedures
  • Management of all Sub Contractors, when required
  • Management of the safe use of equipment/chemicals & ensure that they are fit for purpose i.e., valid PAT Test & in good condition
  • Carry out any other duties in consultation with the Account Manager / Sector Manager / Sector Director or designate which may be required to meet the changing needs of the business

    Administrative duties

  • Completion & submission of all documentation inline with agreed deadlines.
  • Completion & authorisation of time sheets & payroll documents in accordance with company procedure
  • Conduct return to work interviews for all periods of sickness/absence
  • Conduct investigation and disciplinary meetings inline with company procedure
  • To carry out a complete investigation of all incidents and accidents involving machinery or equipment. Ensuring all accident reporting procedures are followed & completion of documentation
  • Preparation of schedules of work including periodic schedule
