GMP Cleaning Operative

The GMP Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of laboratory and manufacturing areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and contamination-free environment for scientific research, product development, and manufacturing processes.

• Perform cleaning and sanitization of laboratory areas, including tables, floors, walls, chairs and ceilings, following established SOPs and GMP guidelines.
• Prepare and use appropriate cleaning solutions and disinfectants as per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of cleaning activities, including cleaning logs and checklists. All entries in logbooks must be accurate and checked. Any anomalies must be reported to the supervisor immediately.
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste materials.
• All the members of the team are responsible for managing the delivery.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, deviations or cleaning-related issues to supervisors.
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with GMP regulations and cleaning procedures.
• Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers, hazards, or near misses to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing experiments and processes.
• Support decontamination procedures in the event of spills or accidents.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cleaning processes and procedures.
• Waste management and disposal according to GMP guidelines.
• Annual cleaning operations, Sporklenz cleans as scheduled or required.
• To liaise on a daily basis with other members of the cleaning team, Facility Management and Lonza employees
• All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental health and Safety regulations and Contract Cleaning or Lonza procedures applicable to their role.Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood and responsibilities are defined
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all time.
• It is the responsibility of the operative to follow Lonza SOP processes and procedures.
• Carry out any duties as required by the Soft Services Manager and Supervisors.
