About The Role

The opportunity has arisen for a supervisor in a friendly and fast paced corporate security environment. The  Corporate Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security operations and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery through the shift, reporting directly into the Head of Security. This role involves managing a team of security personnel, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service for clients, occupiers and visitors alike. The Security Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, ensuring the functionality and appropriateness of operating systems, and providing leadership during emergency situations. Additionally, the Security Supervisor supports the Senior Management Team in strategic planning, staff training, performance evaluation, and professional development. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to upholding the company's core values and customer service standards alongside a supportive and welcoming team and client.

This role requires working on 4 on 4 off shift pattern including days, nights and weekends.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters, ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards at all times.
  • Uphold and promote the company's core values and customer service standards.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security incidents and provide reassurance to clients and visitors.
  • Providing flexibility and support to the Security Team as needed.
  • Conducting thorough handovers with oncoming team.
  • Responsible for train of new recruits maintaining the training matrix, and supervise security staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Oversee staff performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure all security personnel receive appropriate training in customer service and security procedures.
  • Conduct regular refresher courses and update staff on new policies or procedures.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate with HR to provide necessary resources.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on security activities, incidents, and customer service metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager to analyse and improve service delivery based on report findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of all security operations and personnel activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to security operations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on changes in security legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Assume command during emergency situations, providing clear instructions to control room staff and on-site personnel.
  • Coordinate response to incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, initiating appropriate actions and escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate with on-site security teams to address and resolve security breaches or emergencies.
  • Competent with the emergency standard operating procedures utilising systems such as Urim.
  • Competent with the client escalation framework.
  • Promote the company's CSR initiatives within the security team.
  • Encourage staff participation in community service and sustainability efforts.
  • Ensure security operations align with the company's CSR goals and values.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
  • Support the Security Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans for the security department.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in security management and customer service.
  • Stay informed about advancements within the security industry.
  • Hold an IOSH Working Safely Qualification.
