Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team covering Surrey and Middlesex. 

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality ground’s maintenance service to our client. Working in a team and, you will be responsible for a range of activity from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and much more.

The candidate will need experience of ground maintenance duties, however further training is provided, as well as a positive attitude to health and safety and good communications skills.

Key Responsibilities 

• Grass cutting /strimming/ hedge cutting
• Flower & Planter Maintenance
• Confidence working in or around the public
• Site clearances
• Vegetation management
• Carry out daily checks on machinery
• Near Miss Reporting
• Health & Safety Compliance
• Travelling to different sites

Qualifications and skills required  

• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Landscaping Equipment Experience
• Experience on Ride on Plant
• Significant experience in grounds maintenance / horticulture / gardening
• Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools strimmer’s, backpack blowers, push mowers etc.
• Experience in working in a busy, demanding environment and providing a high-quality service
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Hold PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates
