Summer Cleaning Operatives

 You must be available to start on 19th or 20th May and work through to the end of the summer period.

Please apply to the vacancy once you have registered. After that, you will be invited to attend either of the open days listed above between 10 am and 4pm. Please be advised there will be a queue on the day.

Important: You must bring the required documentation on the day. Without these documents, we cannot complete your application.

📄 Documents Required

• Valid passport
• Right to work in Ireland documentation (e.g., Stamp 2, LMA permission letter, GNIB card etc.)
• Proof of address (matching the address on your application, dated within the last 6 months — e.g., bank statement or utility bill)
• Proof of PPS number (PPS card or official letter)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities of Cleaning Operative:

• Carry out cleaning duties across designated areas within UCD buildings
• Adhere to waste management procedures
• Ensure storerooms are stocked and kept tidy
• Follow all health & safety guidelines at all times
• Perform general cleaning tasks including:
• Vacuuming
• Mopping
• Dusting
• Cleaning touch points
• Report any issues, damage, or maintenance needs
• Complete ad‑hoc or emergency cleaning tasks as required

Key Requirements of Cleaning Operative:

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Takes pride in delivering high‑quality work
• Previous cleaning experience is an advantage; full training is provided
