The Role

Are you a security professional who takes pride in providing a world-class experience? We are looking for an outgoing, vigilant, and highly communicative Security Officer to join our team at The Centre Mk

In this role, you aren't just a uniform; you are the face of the centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our guests and retailers while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are de-escalating a difficult situation or helping a lost visitor, you will do so with professionalism and calm.

What You Will Be Doing

• Proactive Presence: Conduct regular internal and external patrols to ensure a safe environment for shoppers and staff.
• Incident Management: Respond to and lead on-site incidents, including medical emergencies and fire alarms.
• Conflict Resolution: Use your expert communication skills to de-escalate confrontational situations and maintain order.
• Guest Services: Act as a "Brand Ambassador," providing directions, assistance, and a friendly face to the public.
• Reporting: Complete detailed and accurate reports, including incident logs, witness statements, and first aid forms.
• Radio Operation: Maintain constant, professional communication with the Control Room and site management.

What We Need From You

• Licensing: An in-date SIA Door Supervision (DS) qualification is essential - CCTV preferable but not essential
• Training: Up-to-date ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) awareness training.
• First Aid: A current, valid First Aid qualification.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English (reporting skills will be tested).
• Experience: A background in Guest Services or a high-end retail environment is highly desirable.
• Background: A 5-year checkable work/education history (BS7858 vetting).
• Physicality: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and remain on your feet for the duration of a shift.
• Disposition: An outgoing personality with the ability to "hold your nerve" and remain professional under pressure.
