Head Office Sundry - Health & Safety Executive

The EHSQ Executive – will be responsible for overseeing Bidvest Noonan health, safety, risk, and quality systems to comply with client and statutory requirements on high-profile pharmaceutical sites.

This will include:

• Monitoring Bidvest Noonan EHS Compliance on site
• Monitoring Bidvest Noonan contractor compliance on site.
• Completing and Reviewing Risk assessments and method statements.
• Assist in Accident and Incident investigation and reporting.
• EHS Culture development working with site leads.
• Understand and advise on client permit to work system.
• Reporting and contributing to client governance requirements (KPIs)

Include the following but are not limited to as other duties may be assigned.

• Active participation in good catch program
• Collate Good Catch numbers.
• Upload Good Catches into Bidvest systems.
• Safety Behavioural Observations of all Bidvest Noonan personnel
• Monitoring Bidvest Noonan employees and our contractor’s safety compliance
• Checking GA1 & GA2s and MEWP daily check lists, Ladder, mobile scaffold tags, works etc
• Weekly safety audit walks of client compliance
• Review Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) from contractors and Bidvest Noonan managers.
• Participate in SMBWAs participation and weekly audits of Bidvest Noonan employees and contractors.
• Checking Conformance documentation for all personnel to ensure site, company, and client expectations. Site files, Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working At heights, Abrasive Wheels, Confined Space + Equipment certification etc
• Developing toolbox talks safety communication on topical EHS Matters

• Include the following but are not limited to as other duties may be assigned.
• Deliver company-based training for new hires.
• Working with developing and new start induction processes and procedures to be aligned with site and client expectations.
• Deliver situational awareness training to all employees and engaging with site leads and management teams to ensure all sites are fully EHSQ compliant to regularity/site standards. 

• Supporting Bidvest Noonan facilities management team.
• Supporting additional special small project as required.
• Other duties as requested by direct line manager.

• Monthly client EHSQ compliance standards - Key Performance Indicators.

• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, persuasion, and perseverance.
• Recognised EHS qualification.
• One to three years of proven work as a safety officer or safety advisor
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work on own initiative

• EHS qualification
• EHS experience

• At least 2 years’ experience EHSQ role.

• Qualified EHS professional with a minimum standard of CMIOSH (Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) or GradIOSH (Graduate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) or national equivalent an advantage
• Formal Environmental qualification. Membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment or national equivalent will be a distinct advantage.
