About The Role

Role: Mobile Contract Manager

Full UK driving license essential

Location: London

Salary: £38k – 42k per annum, to be discussed

Shift: To be confirmed

40 hours per week 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Mobile Contract Manager who will work at our client’s prestigious site.

The Contract Manager is responsible for smooth day-to-day management of train/station/depot cleaning services within the contracted sites. The scope of work contains various aspects of cleaning from daily cleans to periodic heavy cleaning of trains/station/depots. The Contract Manager must provide direction, guidance, training, support and work alongside Supervisors / Team Leaders and Operatives to achieve service levels. 
The Contract Manager is to ensure that all business processes are conducted in accordance with Cordant policies and in a way which protects and enhances the image and reputation of Cordant. 
Complete daily reporting setting out all activities undertaken. 

Manage Resource

  • Ensure Quality Audits are conducted as per contractual agreement.
  • Monitor and manage targets set for the Contract Management team.
  • Ensure training and induction is conducted for all staff.
  • Ensure site supervision/ management are utilising rollcall system to complete employee wages on time.
  • Adhering to procedures when leaving parked vehicles such as  checking that master switch is off and all windows and doors are closed
  • Ensure site supervision/ management are utilising rollcall system for the recording, booking and monitoring of all holidays, sickness and absenteeism.
  • Motivate staff where necessary / possible.
  • Attend to disciplinary and grievance issues as per the company procedures.
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure all accidents / incidents are reported as per company policy and procedure.
  • Provide regular feedback to line manager

Administration

  • Handle all administration commensurate with role e.g. starter forms, disciplinary hearings, grievances, salary queries, client reports, quality reports, etc.
  • Ensure CAR audit system is being used as required by site supervision/ management to record all daily, weekly and periodic cleans.
  • Monitor cleans completed as per contract specification and resolve any shortfalls in either standard or quantity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation
  • Ensure employee files and contract files are maintained and up to date
  • Responsible for the control of all techniques, paperwork, equipment, material and resources to achieve the highest quality, most cost effective and technically appropriate results
  • Responsible for maintaining stock levels, keeping all delivery or materials movement records safe, assuring all materials are signed out from stores
  • Ensure all equipment on site is in good working order, report any defects and make sure they are followed through

Customer Service 

  • Maintain regular contact with client(s) and ensure good relations are upheld.
  • Aim to exceed customer’s expectations

Manage Quality 

  • Ensure sites are aware of their quality specification.
  • Ensure quality specification is met.
  • Ensure poor performance is met by retraining and or disciplinary action

Training 

  • Identify training needs of staff.
  • Arrange for training/retraining.
  • Ensure training is delivered where possible / necessary.
  • Evaluate all training. 
  • Identify problem areas and introduce corrective action.
  • Ensure that new starter forms are filled in correctly. New start forms and associated documents are forwarded to HR office on the same day for processing.

Health and safety 

  • Comply with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Control chemical use in accordance with COSHH.
  • Ensure ALL accidents and near misses are reported as per company policy.
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times, ordering new when required.
  • Ensure fire drills and evacuation drills are conducted regularly with reference to the client’s procedures
  • Ensure al exit routes are kept clear and are accessible
  • Ensure Health and Safety training is conducted for all staff.
  • Ensure RA’s are up to date and site specific and sign off sheet has been signed by all employees.
  • Delivery SSOW refresher training and Safety Briefs as per company policy.
  • Ensure all assets on site are PAT tested and in a safe working order.
  • Report any defected assets for repair immediately and quarantine until made good.
  • Responsibility for motivation, safety and general welfare of staff.
  • Completing Health and Safety reports.
  • The implementation and monitoring of the agreed quality control system.
  • To ensure all tasks are carried out strictly per the site specific safe systems of work
  • Regular Health and Safety audits and checks must be conducted and documented, with action plans for corrections clearly defined


General Duties

  • Accountability for the day to day successful delivery of the service.
  • To ensure problems are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promptly deal with any complaints or requests or delegate to Supervisors / Team Leaders.
  • Completion of all paper or electronic copies of all quality, H&S, etc. forms as requested by Management
  • Producing and implementing work schedules.
  • Liaison with Key Account Manager, Administrator and Supervisors/ Team Leaders.
  • Monitoring output and standards of services in order to achieve high standards as in line with contract specifications and quality control. Ensure that those standards are consistently achieved and maintained. Ensure regular audits on cleaning standards carried out.
