About The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Team Leader who will work onsite with one of our international web service clients

This is a position that will suit an organised and energetic individual with great leadership skills as well as passion for Security and likes to be hands-on.

Duties as a Team Leader

  • Monitor and maintain the security standards for the contract as laid down in the client’s procedures.
  • Monitor security team duties being delivered across the site and ensure frequencies and standards of site security are sufficient for client needs
  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations by deploying staff appropriately
  • Embrace the One Team ethos of the site in dealing with facilities security managers and in constant consideration of the impact our activities may have on other stakeholders
  • Report any building faults to the site security manager
  • Escalate incidents or areas of concern to the security managers / site facilities teams
  • Constantly project a professional image of the company by being an ambassador of Bidvest Noonan’s PRIDE values: Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Determination and Excellence
  • Ensure the security team are carrying out cleaning tasks in addition to reactive tasks throughout the day
  • Adhere to client SOPs at all times

EHSQ Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all employees are compliant with company policies in relation to Health and Safety at Work Regulations
  • Comply with the Company accident reporting procedure and assist promptly and accurately in the completion of all relevant documentation
  • Respond to emergency situations, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery
  • Report any health and safety issues
  • Report all near misses and good catches to Service Delivery Manage

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Alarm Monitoring/ Video Viewer – To include, badge checks, alarm monitoring, device status and camera monitoring.
  • Alarm Response, investigation and dispatch of officers to alarmed areas.
  • Ensure SOC is informed of all alarms in a timely manner.
  • Various duties to include all daily audits and TTs, such as Daily Camera Checks, DDTST (Daily Device Tests), and ensure patrols are carried out in designated areas.
  • Updating all necessary SIM Tickets for – daily duties, Alarm Tickets.
  • General guidance and leadership to the overall team.
  • Assist with location checks, devices statues related to masking, OSD cover and any other methods of assistance that can be provided to the onsite teams.
  • When required, creating/ arranging Masking or VAR Callouts.
  • Ensure officers assist daily operations by covering breaks or helping out other sites on a temporary basis depending on client’s operational needs.
  • Lease with vendor management and assist with staff access
  • Escalation out of hours – Client Management / CAM
  • Ensure contractors / Vendors onsite are escorted if required
  • Carry out monthly CGF access checks. Ensure all rostered officers are still in date.
  • Engage in ongoing monitoring of standards being delivered, identify shortfalls and propose rectifications, identify training needs and deliver requisite guidance
  • Ensure all staff are fully equipped to perform the duties required of them
  • Keep up to date with new innovations and be open to change

 

 

Staff Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the day-to-day Supervision of the security team
  • should strive to consistently deliver service excellence and value, meeting customers’ expectations and anticipating changing requirements so to deliver the best service possible.
  • To develop good working relationships with employees and amongst employees in order to engender a strong team spirit amongst the security team
  • To disseminate information on a daily basis to security team
  • To deliver training and toolbox talks to all staff as required
  • To ensure that employees project a professional image in their dress, behaviour, attitude, and method of working
  • Ensure a seamless and harmonious one team approach
  • Good level of spoken English and understanding of written English required whilst at work and carrying out duties for reasons of Health and Safety

  • Project a professional image in your personal appearance, dress, behaviour, and attitude at all times, including clean and pressed uniform with name badge
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable working alone and in a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload
  • Computer literate is a MUST
  • DC Experience is desirable
