Gatehouse Security Officer

• The on-coming officer will arrive in time for a handover from the off-going officer, after first reporting to the Security Control room to log-on for duty and collect a radio, circa 07:00/19:00 and 19:00 to 0700
• The controlled movement of all vehicles are to be monitored and permission to enter Site.
• Greet all guests in a welcoming manner, regardless of their attitude towards the security officer. If needed, escalate matters to the Site Manager.
• Manage the vehicle entry process for vehicles entering through the Gatehouse, car park and one way system
• Send daily shift reports to Bidvest Noonan and AkzoNobel Management.
• Participate in AkzoNobel fire evacuation procedures.
• Ensure that all staff entering through the Gatehouse swipe their access pass and that authorisation is given via the Green light.
• Check deliveries on the Property Management System and collate the remaining details not already placed onto the Systems.
• Keep visual on the Pedestrian Entry point, ensuring there is no tailgating through the bicycle access gate.
• Manage traffic entering onto site, ensuring queues do not build up.
• Communicate with the Post Room, ensuring they are aware of incoming deliveries and couriers.
• Escalate all issues to either the Security Manager or Logistics Supervisor.
• Any damage’s incurred to the Gatehouse infrastructure and/or fabric or any accidents and incidents should be reported immediately to the Security Control Room and a log should be made in the DOB in Red Pen, with a corresponding statement from the officer as to how the events occurred.
