Security Officer

Duties as a Security Officer:

• Act as the first point of contact with external agencies in response to incidents (Police, LFB, Local Authorities etc.)
• Patrolling and providing Security presence for prolonged periods of time
• Fire Room Control / Alarm Response
• Access Control Systems
• Key Management
• Report Writing
• Reception Duties - Meeting and Greeting
• Ensure Health & Safety of staff and visitors
• Respond effectively to all alarm activations
• Any additional reasonable duties requested by operational management
• Identify suspicious persons, actions and report such circumstances

Requirements as a Security Officer:

• SIA Licence and either Door Supervision/Security Guarding Licence
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Basic IT skills
• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
• Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
• High standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
• Work as part of a team
• Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public
