Security Officer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for Security Officers, who will work at our client’s prestigious premises.
You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.
We require officers to have an SIA licence – either a Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence (the Door Supervisor licence is preferable).
The Security Officer is required to provide an efficient, effective and professional security service.
Shift Pattern: 7/3 and 7/4. This position requires the availability to work weekends and night shifts. The schedule will consist of either three days and four nights followed by three days off or four days and three nights followed by four days off.
Duties as a Security Officer
- To meet and greet all visitors promptly, using the correct protocols.
- Ensure that an exceptional level of service is always maintained in the reception area, loading bay & the estate.
- Build and maintain a current, working knowledge of all policies, procedures, systems, and developments, as well as general information, to be able to provide staff and visitors with information as required.
- To maintain a smart appearance and comply with Bidvest Noonan general policy with regards to dress code/uniform.
- Answering all incoming telephone calls using the correct protocols. To ensure that accurate messages are relayed efficiently via email to the correct person.
- To maintain close working relationships with the relevant Building Management team and to coordinate efforts with respect to matters such as Emergency Procedures and Building Safety.
- Ensure that there is a thorough handover at the completion of each shift with oncoming Security personnel.
*Please be advised that this position primarily entails outdoor work and necessitates extended periods of standing.*
Job role requirements as a Security Officer
- A valid SIA Licence.
- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred
- Have knowledge of Assignment Instructions (AI’s)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer/Client focused
- Proven experience in Corporate Security or relevant role (a minimum of 12 months)
- Must be able to work under pressure, be able make decisive decisions during incidents and difficult situations.
- Strong IT proficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to respond to issues in an effective efficient manner.
