Bidvest Noonan, a leading provider of cleaning and security services, is seeking to promote an experienced Hygiene Operative to Team Leader. The purpose of the role is to oversee the cleaning operations at Teva Runcorn. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of cleaning professionals and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across all three sites.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Under the guidance and support of Hygiene Team Supervisors you will lead, inspire, and manage a team of cleaning staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and working efficiently.
- Delegate tasks, set objectives, and monitor performance to ensure optimal service delivery.
Operational Excellence:
- You will need to have a positive can-do attitude and a real passion for leading a team.
- Whilst getting involved in cleaning duties you will also oversee day-to-day cleaning operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance.
- Implement and maintain cleaning standards, procedures, and quality control measures to meet client expectations.
Client Relations & Communication:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the client’s area owners, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
Training & Development:
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and mentor staff for continuous improvement.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to cleaning protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reporting to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in a hygiene operative role within the cleaning industry, preferably in a similar pharmaceutical or GMP setting.
- Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, chemicals, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
