About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Retail Security Area Supervisor to support our Primark contract across Northern Ireland. Based primarily in Belfast, this role requires regular travel to stores throughout the region.
As an Area Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services, supporting frontline teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing security officers while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to security teams across multiple retail locations.
• Cover holidays, sickness, and operational requirements as needed.
• Conduct site visits, audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
• Manage staff performance, attendance, training, and development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new employees.
• Ensure accurate payroll, rota management, and workforce planning.
• Investigate incidents including theft, misconduct, and security breaches.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, store management, and stakeholders.
• Produce reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and help reduce retail shrinkage.
Security & Loss Prevention Duties
• Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols.
• Respond to theft, anti-social behaviour, suspicious activity, and emergencies.
• Support conflict management and customer de-escalation.
• Carry out risk assessments and security inspections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GDPR, health and safety requirements, and security procedures.
What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in a Security Supervisor or Retail Security Management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience managing performance, attendance, and staff development.
• Good working knowledge of CCTV systems, incident management, and retail crime prevention.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays when required.
• Full UK driving licence and confidence driving on motorways.
Essential Qualifications
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
• First Aid Certification.
