About The Role

The Facilities Technician role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Facilities Management within the pharmaceutical industry. Based at a prestigious client site in West Dublin, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive team, working primarily Monday to Friday.

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. The role provides exposure to a wide range of facilities, maintenance and compliance activities within a GMP-regulated environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working across multiple functions while developing new skills and gaining valuable industry experience.

Overtime and On-Call allowance paid in addition to base salary.

    Scope

  • Carry out maintenance, inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and installation activities on client plant, equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Support the reliability, performance and uptime of site equipment through effective maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with client stakeholders and service providers.
  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work lists as directed by Supervisors, Management, Helpdesk or EHS personnel. Support Facilities Administrators in managing helpdesk requests, providing updates on maintenance activities and ensuring work orders are progressed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Identify required materials, components and spare parts for maintenance activities, and support the sourcing and ordering of appropriate items to ensure timely completion of works.
  • Conduct routine site walkdowns and inspections to identify defects, hazards and maintenance requirements.
  • Support site shutdowns, projects and equipment upgrades as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures, permits and site requirements. Use the site Asset Management System to receive, update and close work orders in a timely manner.
  • Some IT skills with experience using Asset Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment history and asset information within electronic systems.
  • Support the management and upkeep of the site asset register, including asset verification and data updates where required.
  • Complete all maintenance documentation and operational records in accordance with GMP, quality and data integrity requirements.
  • Communicate maintenance activities, equipment issues, operational risks and improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency and site performance.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with site safety, quality and GMP requirements.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly statutory, compliance and equipment checks are completed and documented as required.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing maintenance records and documentation as requested.
  • Assist Supervisors and Management with site support activities, including holiday cover, absence cover and operational support.
