Bidvest Noonan, a leading provider of cleaning and security services, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee the cleaning operations at Imperial College London (ICL) in London. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of cleaning professionals and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across the campus.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of cleaning staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and working efficiently.
- Delegate tasks, set objectives, and monitor performance to ensure optimal service delivery.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance.
- Implement and maintain cleaning standards, procedures, and quality control measures to meet client expectations.
Client Relations & Communication:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at Imperial College London, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
Training & Development:
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and mentor staff for continuous improvement.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to cleaning protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reporting to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the cleaning industry, preferably in a similar educational or institutional setting.
- Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, chemicals, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
