About The Role

The role holder will develop and lead operational excellence and best practice within a designated portfolio; optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation and leadership and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role requiring strong leadership competence in addition to entrepreneurial ability. Client interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To supervise a team of Security and related personnel, in providing a quality service to the assignment falling within the remit of the role.
  •  Assisting the Security Duty Supervisor with the operational responsibility for the contracted hours, additional hours, materials and equipment provided to the client within the assignment, working alongside and reporting to the Security Duty Supervisor and/or Security Contract Manager.
  • Assisting the Security Duty Supervisor and/or Security Contract Manager (Security Management team) in the creation and implementation of a Security
  • Strategy that meets the client’s expectations and Company vision.
  • This role will require significant interaction with the Security Management team and with internal stakeholders, external clients and suppliers.
  • Responsible for supporting the Security Management team in leading and building excellent relations with all Service Partners, building on the clients ‘One Team’ ethos.
  • Work collaboratively on all assignments across the BNP Paribas portfolio sharing best practice.
  • Endorse and promote new group initiatives and ensure they are implemented within the business.
  • Assist the Security Management team in Building a strong quality culture, identifying gaps within the teams and work with the Management Team to address gaps
  • Champion the Company Credo.
  • To be the initial Supervisory contact on all security matters, ensuring high service delivery and excellent customer service.
  • To assist the Security Management team to ensure operating systems are functioning correctly and are fit for purpose.
  • Assist in emergency situations instructing the staff officers accordingly and adhering to emergency procedures. Take command of emergency situations out of hours.
  • Assist the Security Management team in monitoring the probation period of all new employees.
  • Carry out Welfare Reports, assist the Security Management Team in Annual Goal Setting, Performance Improvement Plans and Probation Reviews with staff in assignment.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Bradford factor to monitor staff absence and sickness in line with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements. Escalating any issue as necessary to the Security Management team.
  • Managing sub-contractors directly related to Security Operations on the assignment.
  • Liaise between the Security Management team to conduct training need analysis, assisting to identify competence gaps and create a learning culture.
  • Assist the Security Management team in completing induction with all new starters.
  • Assist the Security Management team to maintain all the site training documentation ensuring compliance.
  • Assist the Security Management team to Implement robust induction training for new employees and monitor personal development plans for all other team members. Ensuring the refresher training programme is implemented for all employees on a continuous basis.
  • Assist the Duty Supervisor to produce and present a monthly Staffing/Attendance, Performance, Training, Incident, Contractor Work and Inventory report for the Security Contract Manager.
  • Attend Assignment Meetings with Security Management team as and where required.
  • Provide Innovations ideas within the monthly reports
  • Communicate any grievances, absences, sickness in a timely manner through the correct communication chain.
  • Assist the Security Management team in maintaining a compliments and complaints report.
  • Communicate Health and Safety matters in a timely matter through the correct communication chain.
  • Maintaining of the health and safety reporting on site, ensure that the correct processes and escalations are adhered to.

Person Specification:

Mandatory

  • Security supervisory experience within the Corporate Sector.
  • Experience of supervising people with the ability to demonstrate and implement initiatives to measure and improve operational targets.
  • Possess excellent leadership and motivational skills in order to create a high performing team and will coach and develop team members to achieve their potential and will have an inspiring and engaging leadership style.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, often in challenging situations, as well as being a collaborative team player who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve the whole team effort.
  • Strong knowledge in Risk Management.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills. 
  • Familiarity of access control, CCTV and intrusion detection systems.
  • Customer focused.
  • Full Security training and licences in place.
  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.
